The question
How should builders prove what they have actually done?
A resume flattens the work, a portfolio usually over-polishes it, and GitHub carries the real signal but is hard for a non-technical reader to interpret. DevPassport came from wondering what sits between those three.
Context
I have watched capable people struggle to present themselves credibly. They have shipped projects, carried teams, solved hard problems and learned in public, but that evidence sits in five different places and nobody assembles it for them.
Building it
The profile would combine projects, skills, contributions, writing, learning history and verified proof of work, and it should answer five things: what this person has built, what they can do, what evidence supports that, how they have improved, and what work they are ready for next.
The design risk is ending up with another generic profile page.
What surprised me
Having proof is not the hard part. Making the proof legible is. If a reader has to work to interpret your ability, the signal weakens no matter how good the underlying work was.
What I learned
A career tool has to help people present themselves clearly without nudging them to inflate. That is the same constraint behind FastCV.
